Rita and Mageed first met through a mutual friend at an Egyptian cultural event .Their relationship blossomed due to their shared interest in Coptic culture, travel and music. Mageed describes Rita as his very best friend; patient and understanding. He loves not only her beauty, but also her charm and warmth. Rita loves Mageed’s confidence and loyalty and his strong interest in Egyptian history and art.
The couple celebrated their wedding in a very traditional manner, with the traditional richly detailed Coptic Orthodox ceremony at St Bishoys-St Schenouda Bulleen. St Bishoys-St Schenouda is probably the oldest Coptic orthodox church in Melbourne, offering stunning art work as well as a tight community focus. It suited the couple perfectly.
They were both absolutely delighted by Ayman and his Egyptian dance band, an ensemble of contemporary Egyptian music. Ayman has a lovely voice and the band creates a fantastic party atmosphere. The only complaint they could have was sore feet from so much dancing.
